With Valentine’s Day coming up, we have an exciting announcement: for the first time, almost all of our past Afterlight boxes (excluding January 2023) will be available for sale on the website! Please note that there are only a limited number of each box, and once they are sold out, we will not be restocking them – this is all of the stock that we have remaining. The boxes will be on sale on our UK website on Wednesday 15th February at 3pm GMT, there will be no presale or early access. These orders will ship mid-late March

FAQ
- How much will the boxes cost?
The boxes will be priced at their original selling price. For boxes without an add-on included, this is £18. The November 2021 box will be priced at £30, and the August 2022 box will be priced at £38. Prices do not include shipping and VAT costs.
- Can I purchase more than one box?
Each box is limited to one order per customer, however you can purchase different boxes in one order – for example, you are able to place an order for both a February 2022 and May 2022 box, but not for two May 2022 boxes.
- Are the add-on books available to purchase separately?
Unfortunately, the add-on books are only available to purchase within the box that they are linked to.
- Do the boxes include the books and items?
Yes!
- How much is shipping?
Shipping for one box will be charged at our monthly subscription rate. A full list of rates can be found here.
- When will the boxes be shipping?
Boxes will be shipping mid-late March.
- Do you expect to sell out?
We do only have a limited amount of stock of each box. This is all of our remaining stock of these boxes, and we will not be restocking them once they’re gone.
- Will you combine shipping if I order more than one box, or a box plus another book from the store together?
Yes! Combined shipping will be calculated at checkout.
- Will the cart reserve my box for me whilst I check out?
Unfortunately, our website does not hold items in your basket.
- Can I buy a box if I have previously ordered that box from you?
For past box sales, we are unable to check if someone has previously bought that same box from us, so duplicate orders will be permitted in this aspect.
- What happens if my order arrives damaged?
We do have incredibly limited stock of each box. Therefore, unfortunately we aren’t able to guarantee that we can replace any damaged books or items from this sale. If you receive a damaged item, please contact our support team to discuss the next steps.
- Do I need to be a subscriber to order a box in this sale?
No, the sale is open for everyone!

Troubleshooting
- Logging in:
We would recommend logging into your account in advance of the sale, as you will need to be logged in to your account to order. If you have any issues logging in, please contact our customer support team before the sale.
Please note that the sale will only be taking place on the UK site. If you are an Illumicrate subscriber in the US or Canada, and you do not have an account on the UK site from previous orders, you will need to make a separate account. You are able to use the same email address and password as your US site account!
We would recommend ensuring that you have an up to date payment method and shipping address on your account ahead of the sale.
- Payment:
We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) and Paypal.
If you are paying by credit/debit card, we recommend you use the second of the two payment processors (the one without the Discover card showing), as the other one has a stricter fraud prevention algorithm and tends to block payments.
If you are paying by PayPal and get an authentication error, please select the ‘use different account’ option and enter your details again. This should allow you to check out. If this doesn’t solve the issue, please contact our support team.
- On the day of the sale:
The boxes will appear in our shop, and we’ll share direct links on Twitter (@illumicrate) and in our instastories (@afterlightbooks, @illumicrate). All available boxes will appear in the “Afterlight Exclusives” tab on the shop.
Our site works best in Chrome, and should you have any difficulties viewing the listing on the day of the sale, your first steps should be to clear your browsing history, close and reopen your browser, and to consider switching device or browser if needed.
The add to basket button on listings can be replaced with a loading symbol during high-traffic times, this is a feature to limit the amount of orders going through the checkout at once and unfortunately we cannot switch this off. If you’re seeing this, you will need to refresh the page until it disappears.
