August 2024: Look What You Made Me Do!

Our Illumicrate August theme is . . . LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!

Push too hard and push too far, and watch what you’ll make me do.

Our August Illumicrate book is an adult fantasy debut! To protect her brother, a young noblewoman assassinates her father and uses her accumulated power to become the head of her family. In the same city, an illegitimate heir discovers the first victim of a serial killer and is drawn into the royal court he’s tried so hard to avoid. With both commanded by the vampire king to find the murderer, they enter a glittering web of desire, treachery and vengeance that could cost them their souls . . .

Please note that trans people use a variety of different words to describe our bodies, for reasons as varied as there are trans people. The words used to describe his body are the ones that he finds comfortable and validating, even though they may not be the words that every trans masculine person would choose. There is no transphobia, misgendering, or deadnaming.
