We have some exciting news: from January 2024, Afterlight will become a monthly, book only box! We have been blown away by the constant growth of Afterlight, and we’re thrilled to be announcing this change.
The price of the Afterlight subscription will remain at £20 per monthly box, plus shipping and VAT where applicable, as this will allow us to maintain the high level of customisations we’ve been bringing you with recent Afterlight books. We’ve been so happy to be able to bring you even more beautiful books in recent months, and we will continue to include an author letter with gorgeous character artwork with your Afterlight books where possible. We would have loved to have reduced the price for you, but book costs have continued to increase, even as our quantities have gotten larger, as has the cost for additional artwork provided by all the talented artists we now work with on endpapers, case designs, and redesigned covers.
Increasing Afterlight to a monthly frequency also means that we are able to look into shipping Afterlight subscriptions for US and Canadian customers from our US fulfilment centre. This is something that we are currently working on and hoping to bring in for the second half of 2024, and we will share more news on this as soon as we are able to!
We will also be offering 3 and 6 month prepaid options for Afterlight from January 2024! Please get in touch with support after November renewals if you would like to change to a 3 or 6 month Afterlight subscription.
Shipping will now be charged at our ‘Book Only/Exclusive Books’ shipping rate from January 2024. Please note that all Afterlight subscriptions will continue to ship from the UK until we have a further update on any potential move to shipping from the US.
These changes will come into effect from the January renewal on the 1st January. The renewal for the November box, on the 1st November, will still be charged at the ‘Box Subscription’ shipping rate and this box will still include two items. There will be no Afterlight box or renewal in December 2023.
